Fancy yourself as a budding Ellen MacArthur, harnessing nature’s resources and cutting across the water under the power of the wind? Experience the joy of sailing with a half day or a full day course under the guidance of a qualified instructor learning the skills of sailing a yacht or dinghy. On the full day experience, you'll be taught the points of sail, rules of the waves and the gybe. A great introduction to the fun of sailing.
What's included:
Sailing Half Day:
* Issue of safety and buoyancy equipment
* Hands on experience in a dinghy or yacht
* Training from an RYA instructor
* Allow approx 3 hours for your visit
* Experience gift box including smart wallet, personalised voucher and message card.
* PA cover to a value of £50,000 plus cancellation indemnity
Sailing Day:
As above but:
* an extended experience (usually full day) with more skills acquisition.
Sailing Half Day:

What happens on the day:
When you arrive you will be issued with safety clothing and buoyancy aids etc. There will be a safety briefing and an outline of the course, before heading off in the sailing craft for a demonstration by the instructor and then hands-on sailing. For the full day course, you will generally be given lunch (check before booking) and the afternoon will encompass more practise of the skills you have tried in the morning.
Need to know:
* Minimum age: 12. (Under 18’s need parent/guardian consent.)
* Maximum weight: 18 stones (115kgs).
* Participants should be in reasonable health and agile enough to climb around the vessel.
* Spectators are usually welcome but can only view from the shore.
* The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to venue.
