Delicious Chocolate Muffins
Ingredients:
110 g (4oz) softened margarine or butter
110 g (4oz) caster sugar
3 eggs
5 tablespoons milk
175 g (6oz) self-raising flour
2 tablespoon cocoa powder
6 square’s milk or dark chocolate
Oven Temperature 190°C/375°F/Gas mark 5
Method:
Firstly wash your hands and put on your apron and chef’s hat.
Get and adult to turn the oven on to the correct temperature
1. Put the soft margarine and sugar together into the bowl, beat really well until it is light and fluffy.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Sift the flour and cocoa into another bowl.
3. Now add a little of the egg mixture and a little of the flour mixture to the margarine and sugar, mix well, keep adding a little of each until all the flour and egg is used up.
4. Spoon the mixture into the bun moulds, (there is no need to use paper cases or to grease the moulds)
5. Break the chocolate into 6 squares and add one square to each bun, pushing it down into the centre.
6. Stand moulds on flat baking tray for support.
7. (This must be supervised by an adult) Bake the muffins in the oven for 15-18 minutes until well risen.
Cool completely before removing from the mould.
If you fancy them as a dessert, heat in microwave for about 25 seconds, add a scoop of ice-cream and finish off with a strawberry.Yummy not too many calories!!

Iced Buns
Ingredients:
110g (4oz) margarine or butter
110g (4oz) caster sugar
2 eggs
110g (4oz) self raising flour
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional)
For the icing
75g (3oz) icing sugar
1 tablespoon water
Hundred’s and thousand’s or sprinkles to decorate.
Oven Temperature 190°C/375°F/Gas mark 5
Method:
Firstly wash your hands and put on your apron and chef’s hat.
Get and adult to turn the oven on to the correct temperature
1. Into your bowl put the softened margarine and sugar, then beat really well until it is light and fluffy.
2. Crack the eggs into a small bowl and mix together with a whisk, add the vanilla extract.
3. Sieve the flour into another small bowl.
4. Now add a little of the egg and a little of the flour to your sugar and margarine mixture, mix well, keep adding a little of each and mixing until all the egg and flour is used up.
5. Spoon the mixture into the bun moulds, (there is no need to use paper cases or to grease the moulds)
6. Stand moulds on flat baking tray for support.
7. (This next stage must be done by an adult) Bake the buns in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until risen and just firm to the touch.
8. To make the icing, sieve the icing sugar into a small bowl and add the water, stirring until smooth. (you may need to add a little more icing sugar or a little more water until you have the right consistency)
Cool completely before removing from mould
Decorate with the icing and toppings of your choice.

Fun Recipes For Budding Bakers

Mi Mi`s Midday Treats
Ingredients:
1 x 397g can of condensed milk
250g rolled oats
75g desicated coconut
105g dried cranberries
130g mixed seeds(sesame seeds,sunflower etc)
Oven Temperature 130C/gas mark 1
Method:
Firstly wash your hands and put on your chef`s apron and hat.
1. Warm your condensed milk in a pan, make sure it`s a large one
2. Get a mixing bowl and put all of the other ingredients into it and stir it all up. Now carefully add the warmed condensed milk stirring it all around until its all soaked in.
3. You can put it into the heart or round shape silicone trays, no need to grease. If you do not have one it will be fine in a baking tray . Push it down nice and hard using the back of a spoon or your hands.
4. Get an adult to put it in the oven and bake for about 1 hour(have a little peek after 45 mins)
5. Let them cool completely and then just pop each one out and have a munch! If you used a baking tray wait until about 15minutes until you cut it into pieces.
